Chapter 11, save me.

"Where do you think she is?" Sky asked. I shrugged. I feel like a total mess. Someone who is capable of saving people and capable of landing friends into trouble. What's wrong with me? I thought I had it all under control, but it seems like I was wrong. Maybe she wasn't in trouble. But something tells me she is. What if we could not save her? What if she's really in trouble? What if...what if...

"Kaitlyn! Snap out of it. We've got to think of a way to find Pat!" Haze said urgently. "But where? Where can we find her? How?" Suddenly, I didn't felt like a hero. I felt like an annoying pest which thought that I could move mountains or something. I sat on my bed and looked down. "Its okay, everything will be okay." Sky assured. I looked at him. Why does he look so confident while I felt like a fool?

Patrina tried all sorts of ways to buy time. She was running out of ideas. "Are you hiding something from me?" One-eyed Matt asked when she was silent. Patrina's head shot up and she shook her head in denial. One-eyed Matt was about to say something when a giant red button blinked on the board. He pressed it and a hooded figure came on screen.

"Master..." Matt bowed. "Did you get the key?" The Master asked impatiently. One-eyed Matt tried to make it sound as nice as possible, "I've got the child's friend. I should be getting the key soon."

"In other words, the key is not in our hands?" The Master raised his voice. Matt froze and nodded. "Useless slave! If I don't have the key by the time I reach your hideout, Im going to dig out your eyeball." And the screen turned black. Matt pinched the bridge of his nose.

I've never seen Kaitlyn like this before. Its like she totally lost herself. Not even my brother sky could help her feel better. "I guess the only way to make her feel better is to save Pat." I whispered to Sky. He nodded in agreement. We decided to check back at the restaurent.

It was the same since we've left it. Then, I saw something like a shadow that flew past behind the counter. Was my eyes trying to trick me? I reached out to push open the door. It budged smoothly. "It's not locked. Someone must have been here." I whispered. Both of them nodded.

We went in to see if there was anyone in there. "Clank!" We turned and walked towards the swing doors to the kitchen. Kaitlyn nodded to me and both of us pushed open the doors. There was no one there, only the pot on the floor.

I wondered who had dropped the pot. Haze and Sky walked towards the pot to have a closer look. I went foward to see the rest of the pots hanging. Weird, they are swinging. I turned to report to them and realised a shadow behind them. "Watch out!" But it was too late, they were knocked unconscious.

The shadow was no where to be seen. I grabbed the nearest pot and tried to defend myself from any surprise attack. I felt something inching onto me. I turned to see a black figure. "NO!" And everything was black.

"Kaitlyn...! Wake up!..." I opened my eyes, once again, I was in the forest. But instead, I saw Princess Kaitlyn in the blinding light. The same honey-like voice and the tinkling bells. "Why am I here?" I asked as I get up. "This is a dream, Im here to help you." She smiled gently. She looked so beautiful. She was nothing like me. "How?" I asked.

"The key flows within the heart. Your heart, Kaitlyn. Trust the key, your prince will protect you." And she started to fade away. "Wait! What if I can't do it?" She continued to drown in the light, "Trust." And she was gone. I opened my eyes and saw 3 heads over me. "Pat!" I hugged her tightly.

Are you okay? She asked and I nodded. It took awhile for me to realise that I was locked up. At the other side of the cage was a man with an eye-patch over his eye. "Ahh...Finally we meet." He gave a smirk. "Who are you? What do you want?" I said firmly.

"Who are you? What do you want?" He repeated in a sacarstic tone, "I want THE KEY. Give it to me or you'll end up in your grave!" I tried to stay calm, praying hard that he would not sense my fear. What should I do? What should I do?!

Today, I left my phone on the bus. I was like OHSHYT. LOL. Den I was super restless. So I keep spam calling phone, hoping someone will answer. ): Den no one pick up. I was super worried. And I prayed to God that the person who found it is kind XP

Then during Maggie wong's lesson, I lent jerrold's fone and put it in my pencil box and continued calling. Finally someone picked up the fone! I was like, pretending to lie on the table while i talk to the person. It was the person from the eunos interchange LOL. Cool o.o

Jerrold owes me chocolate. o.o

Im so tired. I still got the stupid chinese haven't do :X hehhs. Silas :D Aws, the show, dream potter, so touching. ): Thanks Joel Peh for teaching me Maths yesterday >< hehhs. Im so hungry. LOL. Jetstar, 10% LOL!

Chapter 10, And they live happily ever after, or so they thought.

"How are we going to go home?" Haze asked. "Maybe the key could help?" Sky looked at me. I shrugged, "Its worth a try." I took out the key. It was pink in colour. "Why is it pink?" I asked. Haze giggled. Sky blushed. "Oh. Haha." I laughed as I realised I've asked a stupid question.

I closed my eyes and concentrated. A few seconds later, it has no change. A sudden thought came to my mind. If this was Princess Kaitlyn's dream of reuniting with her prince, I guess the key of dreams was no longer at Princess Kaitlyn's command. "Hmm, by the way, how did you guys get here?"

"Well, we sort of got transported here by some tornado. And when I woke up, I was dressed in this and was here." Sky said. Haze told me that she found the special tree. So we followed hazel to trace back the path she took to find the tree.

"Hey, so how long are you gonna keep me locked up here?" Patrina complained. One-Eyed Matt had held her prisoner as she has found out things that are not meant to be known. One-eyed Matt was hiding in a high-tech underground lab. His back was facing Patrina as he fiddled with the giant computer screen.

He turned and walked to her. "Where is the child?" He snarled.+ Patrina rolled her eyes. "What child?" He growled, "The one by the name of Kaitlyn!" Patrina looked away, "I don't know what you're talking about." One-eyed Matt reached for his knife and pointed it in front of her. Pat's eyes widen. "Tell me, or you will pay."

"I don't know..!" She stuttered. "Why do you want to know anyway?" She questioned. "Why? Because she has the key! I climbed all the way into her room that night and took the case. But after I did a scan, I know that the key wasn't inside!"

Patrina was shocked. If he could climb into a room unnoticed, who knows what else he is capable of. She decided to buy time for the kids. They were her only hope.

"What...happened?" Sky's jaw dropped. The tree was rotten. My hope was crushed. "I can't believe this.." The key turned green, then blue, then red, then it was glowing. We shield our eyes from the blinding glow. When the glowing finally stopped, there was a lock on sky's hand. I took it from his hand. "Cool." Haze said. I walked to the tree and placed the lock on it. I unlocked it and a portal appeared. How cliche.

"Well, what are you guys waiting for? Hop in!" Sky's face was full of hope again. The portal lead us into my room and we were ourselves again. The key turned yellow. "Cool, its happy!" Haze smiled. I looked around my room. It looked the same. I caught my eye on the purple file. "I think Patrina's in trouble."

"What?!"

Happy Birthday to dearest Simin Darling :D! Yesterday, I thought I was dying becos I couldn't breathe properly. Yay to my wild imagination [hart]. :D! During PE, it was fun. After running 3 rounds around the school, [I cheated, I only ran 2 >_>], we went to play badminton. Suddenly Kerin and Audrey started the BOMB game XD "Kerin bomb, kerin bomb to Mavis bomb."

Anyways, today was fun. It was the last day of the "Plan" to give simin a surprise...which technically failed. But anyway, she had fun...well I guess, and we all had fun pretending that we hate each other TO THE GUTS ~ and yah, it was funny and fun. LOL. The cake sucked because FELICIA bought it. And...the dyi t-shirt sucked too..cause I made it. The card sucked too because Ganwei didn't make a card. And THE IDEA OF SURPRISING SIMIN SUCKED TOO BECAUSE OF WEINAN. Anyways, moving on.

During English, we played the game that the chosen person will say 1 sentence to form a story. This is the outcome of the story:
Audrey was called. "Once upon a time, Mali dropped from heavens.
Den I was called. I decided to make it ridiculous. "He turned into a meatball."
Den Zavier was called. "He rolled down the hill and crushed Pikachu!" [PS, pikachu is our inside joke. Pikachu is our Vice chairman, JUNHUI.]
Den Kun hee was called. "Pikachu likes pepsi." ABSOLUTE RANDOM WIN XD
Nicole.. "Pikachu ate the meatball and drank the pepsi."

After that last sentence, Mdm Wi couldn't take it so she said the story shall end there before we all get F9 for O'levels. HAHA.

Today band was fun and not fun. DAVID GOT IN BAND ! But felicia didn't ): Sobbs. Its okay. Silas very pig. He can sleep from evening to 10pm+ XD Shhh >_>

Chapter 9, Ripped swallowtail.

I looked around in my "new bedroom" as I thought of Sky and Haze, my two best friends who are non-identical twins. The last time I was with them, the key turned Golden. My heart whispered to it. "Live my dream.." And here Iam. Now my dream makes sense. Great! But this ain't helping. Now, after being seperated by Princess Kaitlyn's love by death, Im stuck in my palace with both Princess Kaitlyn and my feelings.

I walked and threw myself on the bed and did nothing but stared. I was experiencing mixed feelings. I felt heartbroken that I lost my love. And I felt lost for losing my friends. "Knock, knock" I shot up. "Princess, wake up. Its time for your breakfast." This reminded me of my mum. I walked towards the giant door. I opened it and saw a face that seem so familiar but yet I don't remember seeing her anywhere. "C'mon, or you'll get scolded by your dad again." I nodded and followed her down.

I entered what seems to be like a fairytale's dining room. At the end of the long table sat my dad, the King. "Morning, Father." I greeted and sat down opposite where my mum, the queen is sitting. "Morning, Mother." They nodded and all of us ate in silence. The door opened at a man brisked walk in. He whispered something to the King and left the room. His face turned red. He slammed the table. The queen and I looked up. He turned to me. "Where WERE YOU last night?"

"Sky? Kaitlyn?" Haze walked along the pebbled paths. "Guys? Where are you?" She shouted. She stopped and scanned the area. She saw a bright light from the corner of her eye. She walked towards it. Behind some bushes were several trees. She pushed her way through the bushes and found a tree. "The tree!" She found the special tree that was in Kaitlyn's dream. She touched the "door knob" and stepped in.

Sky woke up and found himself dressed in a suit that look like it was from a history textbook. He sat up and rubbed his head. "Where am I?" Images flashed through his head and he winced in agony. Then he recovered from it. "I need to find Kaitlyn and Haze." He stood up and explored the wilderness.

"You were with him. AM I RIGHT?" He raised his voice. I looked down. A tear rolled down my cheek. Not because I was scared that he'll hit me or because he had scolded me. Its because the King didn't know I was alive. "Stop crying you awful child! Tell him the truth!" The queen slapped me. I started sobbing. I ran to my room. I closed the doors behind me and this was the first time I felt safe. I hugged my knees close to my chest and started weaping until I couldn't breathe. There was a glow coming from under my quilt. I wiped my tears as I reached to remove the quilt.

The glowing stopped. It was the case. I took it and opened it by putting my finger onto the pattern. The compartment slid out along with the key. The key was in a colour of blue. A colour that contained my hurts and the feeling of heartbreak. It was as if the key was screaming with agony. I took the key and closed my eyes. "Take me to my love."

The blinding light returned me to the forest. As I walked, the bells on my dress tinkled. I reached the tree and used the key to open it. I dropped the case and fell in the deep darkness.

I walked further and further into the wilderness. There was no sign of Kaitlyn and Haze.

"Thud."

I turned around. "Who's there?" I hissed. And I walked towards where the sound came from. And then, I saw her. "KAITLYN!" Without knowing why, I ran towards her and picked her up and rest her on my arms. "Wake up, princess." I soothed. Her eyelids fluttered open as she tried to remember what happened. "Sky?" Her voice like honey. I nodded, and she started to tear. "Hush hush...Im here." I hugged her.

"Hey, I finally found both of you! Not to interrupt or anything." I saw a girl that stood in front of me. It was Haze. We were finally reunited.

WAHAHA. Today during Social studies, Mrs Wong walked in. I was like. Writing my notebook and this happened...
Mavis: *Writing and looking down* CLASS STAND!
Class stands and Mrs wong was scolding people, I didn't notice =,=
I was getting impatient.
Mavis: Walaos! *Tells Jenniven and huy* Greet us first uh >_< Later then scold lehhs! Now veh awkward le sia. Can I say class sit? LOL!

Anyways, after that cher ask me set up the laptop and I escaped awkwardness. After the lesson, Mrs wong said the Humanities department is planning an overseas trip. We were like. To where? She said. JAPAN. The whole class woah! XD So cool ><

Anyways, during chemistry, my fone almost kenna confiscated thanks to that dumb WEINAN. Anyways, Mr Amit saw something on a white board. "AYE! WHY GOT W.T.F THERE ARH?!"
The class says, "Uhm, cos its Wednesday, Thursday and Friday ma!" He like. "Oh....I WAS ALSO THINKING OF THAT. :X"

During Math, I realised when Mr Fahmy pekchek very cute XD Hehhs, hm...after that got band....den yah. Went home. SWEET BLOOD GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. LOL

Chapter 8, Fantasy.

The key glowed hotter and hotter. My friends, Haze and Sky, non-identical twins, were opening and closing their mouths like a goldfish. Den finally, it stopped glowing. It turned from a dull metal to a golden key. I smiled. I have to follow..my dream. Like a key, it returns to the lock even after being separated for so long.

Kaitlyn looked stunning. It was as if she was a real princess. I wonder if she really know how I feel about her. Haze, my twin sister stared at me. I knew it was time to solve the mystery. "So, how do we find the special tree?" I questioned. She looked around. We were still at the entrance. She closed her eyes. I imagined her picturing the scenes of her dream. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew against us. And without warning, we were swept up. Haze let out an ear-piercing scream. Kaitlyn was nowhere to be seen.

"Here. Its a gift to my fair lady." I took the box with my hands and smiled "Its beautiful!" I looked at a handsome guy that was standing in front of me. I froze. Where am I? Who am I? I looked down. My clothes were gone and it was replaced by a familiar european dress. I looked around at the familiar greenery. I touched my head. I felt a crown on it. "What's the matter?" He reached for my hand. I flinched and removed his hand from mine politely. "What's wrong, Princess Kaitlyn?" My head spun. What was going on? Where's Sky and Haze? I shook my head and faked a smile. "Nothing's wrong."

He gave me a worried look and then changed his expression. "Why don't you open your gift?" I looked down and my box. "Oh! Right!" I smiled. I tried to look for an opening. "Silly. You have to open it like this..." He took my finger the way Sky did and put it on the pattern. It glowed and the compartment slid out as I expected. "Its...a key." He shook his head. "A key of dreams." I looked at his eyes. "What does it do?" He opened his mouth. But the answer never reached my ears.

A twig snapped. My head shot up. Over his shoulders was a wolf. "Princess! Run!" He grabbed my hands as we torn through the forest. The wolf gave chase. "Princess, whatever happens, I'll always love you." Tears welled up in my eyes, "What are you going to do?!"

He took me behind the bushes and cupped my face with his hands. "When I distract the wolf, run." I shook my head. "No! We will escape together!" He looked down, "Don't be silly. Please live. For me." And he took me into his arms. I started sobbing. "The key fulfills your dream." And he was gone. I started to run.

This scene was familiar. The dream that I had. From the start and forever. I remembered my past.

I ran and ran. I stopped and bent down to catch my breath. I looked around. Where's the exit? I heard a rustle. And I started running as fast as my legs could carry me again. I held the box in my hand. It was my last hope. "I WISH I COULD GO HOME!" A blinding light appeared and I was in my room. Except it was a room in a palace. My palace. I couldn't believe it. Princess Kaitlyn's love sacrificed for her. And he was gone forever. I couldn't help but to feel heartbroken. As if a part of me was being torn apart. I wasn't princess kaitlyn. I was me. Im just kaitlyn. But where's Sky and Haze?

Yoh~ people. Today is a weird day. Anyways, in da morning, got scolded by Huang Lao shi. Pshh, baka sia. After that, xuan ying saw my picture and said that I look taller last time. Anyway, do you know that I grew 1cm ?! And lost 1kg. Conclusion, I use 1kg to gain 1cm. Random.

My english cher mentioned that it is not about the quantity, but the quality. :D! And I complained during physics lesson that "Why nowadays nothing much happens." and just now everything happened! Yay. :D

Just now on the MRT to payalebar, I was looking through fotos that were taken today. Suddenly this random un-local person pointed to a picture i was looking at and asked me something in an accent which i can't really catch. But I was pretty sure he was saying, "You're posting this on facebook?" RANDOM. After that got another person talk to me on the circle line >_> Kays. Chapter 8 next post:D!

Chapter 7, Hindsight.

"It says this nature reserve was part of a huge forest a thousand years ago." Haze said. We had travelled from Patrina's burger restaurent which was once our favourite restaurent to the local nature reserve. We were shock to see Pat's restaurent in ruins and a "for sale" in front. But ironically, the kitchen was in tip-top shape. Patrina passed me a purple file through my mother and the case which I found on a normal-school day was lost.

There was a dream which I've always dreamt. And from the file, we found sky's long lost piece of science worksheet which have a picture of the nature reserve which also happened to be a place in my dream.

The key that was inside the case was still with me. Recently, it turned into different colour. I looked at the key. It turned to a dark grey metal. The longer I held it, the more I doubt the reality. Did it happened? I clutch the key, it felt like a toy now. No longer useful. But who knows what the key could do.

"Well, Kait? What's your plan?" Sky asked. Haze and sky are my bestest of friends. They're both twins except they don't look the same. Haze had hazelnut-brown hair while sky's were dark and shiny. I thought for a moment. What was my plan? I looked up. "Well...remember the purple file? There was a note right inside that says lock. Didn't it?" They nodded in agreement. "Well, I think that the key could open any lock that I want...and the dream told me that there was some weird entrance at a tree. I guess we have to look for that special tree. I guess."

Haze was the first to ask that question I expected. "You do know that this is a nature reserve right? How do we know where to look?" I smiled. "A key comes with a lock like how a lock comes together with a key. Both of them inseperatable." I closed my eyes and focus. I didn't know what happened, but the useless metal glowed at my palm. And I felt a warm feeling in my heart. And finally, I felt like the life of the key was flowing with me.

"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Patrina shouted. "Oh, be quiet. This wouldn't have happened if you didn't poke your nose into our problems." One eyed matt complained. Patrina snorted. And she remembered how she got herself into this.

There was an exhibition. She was one of the few hundreds who were interested in it. She walked down the cases which stored ancient stuff. And one of it caught her eye. The box.

On the information plate, it says "This box design was based on a story which written about a hundred years ago. It was told that the story mentioned that there were these star-crossed lovers. The prince and princess. They loved each other deeply, but they were forbade to meet and interact. One day, the prince met the princess in a forest and prince gave her a box which is the one you are looking at now. And after that, they were chased by a hungered wolf. The prince sacrificed for her and he died. The princess was so heartbroken that few days later, she disappeared in the forest. Only the box were to be found.

Pat fell in love with the story. So she went back online to researched. And decided to change the "theme" of the restaurent for that month.

"Why did you change the box design again?" She shrugged. "Well, I saw this ancient case on the net and so I decided to use it as this month's theme. I did a researched. Did you know it belonged to a princess whose name is similiar to yours?"

Chapter 6, Mockingbird.

It was dark. Everything was in ruins. "What happened here?" I wondered aloud. Sky and haze shook their head. They're non-identical twins and are also my best friends. Tables were overturned. Chairs were all over the place. The counter was filled with shards of glass. "Let's check out the kitchen." I suggested. "I don't think its safe to go in there, kait." Sky adviced. "If you don't dare, I can just go in alone you know?"

Sky stepped back, I saw hurt in his eyes. I pushed the image out of my mind and calmed myself down. I walked behind the counter and pushed the swing doors. I peeked behind and saw pots and pans. Haze placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked behind. They were right behind me. I smiled and continued to focus.

"Its strange." Sky commented. I shot him a look and realised what he meant. Why is the kitchen so neat while the rest of the restaurant was in a mess? "I...don't think its safe to be here." Haze said. "I have a bad feeling." She was right, there was seriously something amiss. We turned for the door. I was about to take a step. But suddenly, my head was in excruciating pain. Images flashed past and the world around me turned black.

"Kaitlyn!" The voice sounded familiar, yet it sounded so far away. "Sky..?" I opened my eyes. I was staring at the familiar scene of leaves. I got up. "Kaitlyn!" I turned. "Haze?"

"Kaitlyn!" Those voices were mocking me. "Sky? Haze? Where are you?" And all I got in return, were echoes. "Kaitlyn!" Suddenly, it didn't seem familiar anymore. It sounded like a whisper. "Haha...Kaitlyn..behind you..!" I turned. No one was there. Thousands of voices sounded at once. "Over here..."

"Looking for me? Hahh...."
"Up here Kaitlyn..!"
I covered my ears in agony and squatted down. "STOP!" And the glowing of my pocket returned. I took out the key. It was silver with striking red patterns. "Behind you..." I turned. I found myself staring at a tree. It creaked and shook. I held my breath. I realised a key hole and a door-looking shape. I walked towards it. But I could not reach it....

My eyes snapped open. "Kaitlyn!" Haze shook me. "Okayokay! Im back, stop shaking!" I sat up. I fainted on the kitchen floor. Haze and Sky swept a wave of concern on me. I felt that I was going to drown. "Im okay. We need to go to the nature reserves now." Their eyes widen. "Why?" I got up and started to walk. "I'll explain on the way."

Chapter 5, clues.

"You don't have a purple file?" Sky's eyes were wide. "Her file is white." Haze replied. Haze and Sky are non-identicle twins, aka, my best friends. "Exactly. What is Pat...or whoever it is, trying to tell us?" I questioned. My mum gave me a purple file which Patrina, the owner of our favourite burger restaurent when we were sleeping. And coincidentally, the case which I found under my table one day was lost.

"Maybe, there's something in the file?" Haze blinked. I opened the file. There was a note. Inside was one word. "Lock." What? That was it? I couldn't believe it. I can't.

"There must be more than this. Check the file." I said. I flipped the pages and found something familiar. "This...this is my science worksheet!" Sky pointed. He took it out. The topic was on nature. I stared at the photo. It looks extremely familiar. "Have any idea where's this forest?"

"Oh..Its not a forest really. Its a nature reserve."
"Where is it?"
"Well, we could take a bus there..."
"Let's find pat."

We reached the bus stop near patrina's burger restaurent. We crossed the street. "Its...SOLD!" Haze exclaimed. The suspicion of patrina taking my case, well, technically its mine, was growing deeper. My pocket glowed.

"Uhm, Kait? Why is your pocket glowing?" It was the key. The key which we found inside the case. I took it out. I realised it changed colour. The night before was just a gloomy and dark colour. After the glowing was a bright scarlet red with intricate patterns similiar to the ones we saw on the case.

After a few moment, the glowing stopped. "Is there a instruction manual to this thing? Cause I don't what it means when it turns red." I said sarcastically. "Well, in my opinion, it looks like its...activated?" Haze guessed. "And...why?" I questioned her theory. "Uhm..probably...its near to the partner? Or...a lock?" That's it! A lock and a key comes together. Why didn't I think of that? But...the only lock I see is the one for the door of the restaurent.

"Maybe, it can open the lock of the restaurent door.." Sky said, reading my thoughts. It was worth a try. We stepped towards the door and slowly put the key in. Slowly, slowly, it went in. "It fits!" I turned. Click. "Oh. My gosh." I said. And we pushed the door open.

Today, went to school with dumbdumb gaius (: Sadded, he, xavier and yiliang went to camp LOL. His new haircut + his PE shirt make him look liek primary school student LOL.

After that went to school with raphael and went to assembly. Fell asleep twice. WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT. Owned. XD So bored. Assembly lasted so long that it took away our CCT and 1 period of english. =,=. Sibeh tired that morning.

Our EL rep, aka, MDM WI'S SLAVES are Valerie and Jia jun. During english lesson, I earned 1 star XDD!

Today's joke LOL. Mr Amit was complaining about how noisy ground floor is.

Random. After that, fell asleep again. Today so clumsy >_< I keep dropping stuff, tripping and knocking into people o.o somehow.

After that was recess, den chinese. I had never been so excited to go chinese class! Cos most of the 2F people are together again! Den the class veh noisy and full of life and laughter. Not liek mai class ):. But as usual, I dun understand whad Huang lao shi is talking >_>

I wanna watch: Amber City, Another cinderella story and Prince Caspian when Im freee! XD Today during orientation damn high! Heehee. Hahhs. Made super lots of new friends. Hahhs!

Chapter 3, unravel.

My fingertip came in touch with the lock. I waited. Nothing happened. I shrugged, "Maybe its just some random nice-looking box for decoration." And I left it under my bed. I yawned, crawled into my snuggly nest and decided to get a real nap which I used it as a lie before locking the door.

The eerie silence pierced through my ears. I looked around. "Hello?!" They were the same trees and greeneries. As if on cue, the rustling came back on. I screamed and ran. The same blinding light scene came. But this time, a figure could be seen. I stopped running. "Who's there..?" I whispered.

The figure turned and walked towards me. I took one step back as it inched its way towards me. "STAY BACK!" I warned. But it just kept on moving. Every step it took, a shimmering bell sounded. "Don't be afraid.." A voice as sweet as honey said. I stopped as the figure revealed itself. She was perfect. She had chocolate brown hair that waved down her waist. She was wearing some gown that looked like was from europe. But most importantly, she had a crown. She looked like she was the same age as me.

"Kaitlyn, beware of the dark, that tries to take over the light." My heart was in my mouth. "How..how did you know my name?" She smiled gently. But fade away as quickly as it came. "Remember my warning, we shall meet again." She turned and started walking back to the light. "WAIT! Who are you? Stop!" I started to give chase. But no matter how fast I ran, she was further away.

"NO!" I broke up in sweat. I looked around my bedroom. It was curtained with shadows. I looked at the time. It read 8pm. I took my cellphone and requested my 2 best friends, Haze and Sky, the non-identical twins, for a sleep over at my house.

They came 45 minutes later. "What happened? You look pale." Sky pointed out. I shook my head. "Same dream..except..different." Haze's head shot up. "What do you mean?" And I told them just what happened. There were silence hanging in the air. "Kait, remember this morning? The box?" Haze asked. I nodded and was shocked that she saw me putting it in my bag. "May I see it?" She asked.

I told her about the message underneath the case. Then she showed me a pattern underneath the message which I didn't notice before. "You know, this looks pretty odd to me."

She handed over to sky where he started to feel his way for a clue. "Aha!" and he took my finger and I touched at the intricate pattern. The box glowed. And with a click, a small panel opened underneath the box. I pulled it out.

"A key! Like the message said." I touched the key. "Its warm.."
"Hey look! A note." Sky took it out.

"Now that you have the key of dreams, things will never be what they seem. Heed the warnings and keep it with care. If not the key will not be fair. Keep it a secret, for no one knows, that this heart is where the key flows.."

I looked down at the key in my hand. "This heart is where the key flows..." I clutched it tightly. I knew that there was no turning back. I had to protect it. I don't know what good or bad will it do to me, I just know that this key's existance depended on me.

"MAY I KNOW WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS?!" One eyed Matt looked down with guilt. "You told me you will take it back. And that it is impossible for anyone to open it. Did you lie to me?!" He bowed and kept calm. "I did not, that I can swear. But how they opened it, I do not care. The thing is, they have the key. They had opened it for us, and all we have to do is to take the key instead. Isn't that easier?"

"SILENCE. I do not care, I want back both the box and the key. One more mistake, matt, just one more, and your history will repeat itself..."

Chapter 2, what's that?!

What seemed like a few hundred years, finally school was over. I was daydreaming, as usual as my seat was beside the window. I thought of the dream I always had. The one that I was running to nowhere in the forest, thinking that something's gonna get me. It always ends with a blinding light.

After that, Me and my 2 non-identical twins friends, Haze and Sky, went to "Patrina's Burger Restuarant". It was our personal favourite. We stepped in and the familiar sound of the bell that hung on the door handle rang.

"Hey kids! How was school?" A petite face that belonged to patrina popped out from the kitchen said. "Pat! Haha, same as the usual. You know..." Sky talked on and on about how boring it was.

It was quite ironical to have so much things to talk about a mundane school day. I smiled a Haze. "So kids, the usual?" We nodded. The usual for Haze was a triple cheese burger and fries. For sky, it was always the nachos and soda. For me, it was always the fish burger with extra cheese.

Few minutes later, pat served us. I looked at a small box that contained my burger. The design was familiar. "Why did you change the box design again?" She shrugged, "Well, I saw this ancient case on the net which I thought was cool..so..."

I couldn't hear anymore. I was lost in my thought. The design was exactly like the mysterious case I found under my table when I reached school that day. "Kait? Helloooooo? EARTH TO KAIT!" Sky waved a palm in front of my face. I snapped back to reality. "Huh, what?"

Haze shot me a "are-you-okay-because-your-soul-just-left-the-world" look. I shook my head to clear it and faked a smile. I couldn't eat anymore. I made an excuse to go home early. I knew something important was in the box.

"She just left the restaurant -- Yes, I got it all under control. -- The key? No, its not possible for her to open it. No one had ever opened the case. -- Yes, I'll get it back. -- Yes, yes sir." A figure came to view. His face was horrible. Lines scarred his face. He wore an eye patch as in the past, one of the eyeballs has to be removed. People called him, the One Eyed Matt. He snarled as he watched me boarded the bus. And after that, he disappeared without a sight.

I greeted my Mum and hurried into my room. "I'll be taking a nap, Mum!" I shouted before locking the door. I turned on my bedside lamp to prevent any unwanted attention from my mum. Slowly, I unzipped my bag a in it, it revealed that ancient box. I reached out a hand to touch it. The texture felt the same way as this morning.

"It must have been very valuable for such a case like that.." I thought. I lifted up the box and realised a carved message.

"To my beloved princess, if you know what it means. A touch of your finger, could open your box of dreams... love, prince." I raised an eye brown. I turned it back up and reached for the lock.

But no matter how hard I try, I could not open it. "Hmm..a touch of your finger..." Slowly, I reached out a finger to the lock...

Chapter 1, that weird dream.

I was running. Running from...I don't know. I stopped, bent down on my knees to catch my breath. I looked around. Trees and vegetation was everywhere. I had not a single clue where the exit was. Just then, I heard a rustle. And I started running as fast as my legs could carry me. Why? I don't know. It just felt if I didn't run, I'll get caught. A blinding glow killed my sight and I screamed.

I screamed and sat up. My forehead soaked with sweat. I had this dream ever since I was...5? Iam not sure. I picked up the alarm clock. Sure enough, it was 7.00am. I kicked off my blanket and went to wash my face.

"Breakfast's ready!"

I smiled at my mum and sat down on the chair. "How was your sleep, Kaitlyn?" I looked down and shook my head. I picked up a fork. "Itadakimasu!" And I ate gratefully.

I headed to school and sat beside my 2 best friends, Haze and Sky. Yep, they're related. But they are fraternal, meaning they're non-identical twins. I had a great spot in class, beside the window where I can daydream. Well, most of the time.

But today, I realised there's something under my desk. Its a black and ancient case. It had intricate patterns on the case. My hand moved around to feel the texture. I looked around.

"Hey, Haze. Do you know who does this belongs to?" She shook her head. I started to wonder. Who could have gave such an ancient box? What could be inside? I shook them away. Class was starting and the teacher would be here any moment. I wouldn't want it to be confiscated.

Without a second thought, I stuffed it inside my bag just as Mrs Venus stepped in. Little did I know that someone was staring at me the whole time...

JOEL PEH asked me whai I didn't update mai blog. So sorry. Cos Im busy and lazy.

Today is simple and fun. This morning, or should I say after, I woke up at 1pm. I just seem to get out of bed. ITS JUST TOO COMFORTABLE! Make me sleep on the floor, I'll still tell you the same thing(:

So I woke up becos Wenxiang told me to do so =,=. LOL. Anyways, after that, ate porridge and facebook all the way. Until I became very hungry so I decided to go to the minmart and buy some snacks for our little LAMININ cell group! Hahhs. After that, called Gaius and asked him where's he and we met up at the traffic light near the hawker center.

He and I walked to LEC. I felt abit dizzy. Then yah, we went to eat after that with Yings, Joel and Gaius. Very hungry :X Yeep. Den had cellgroup, stupid double e, scare me at the top of the stairs.

Den LOL. Had Cell group. After cell group, Ying kill 3 cockroach IN ALL. Den after that, me, Gaius, Yings and Joel ate porridge LOL. Not nice :X Im sorry, auntie. LOL.

Den went home. Hahhs. Crappy. Yesterday was a crappy day. Thanks to them.

Monday having Music camp. But also suppose to have band :( Im liek so sad. Cos monday, suppose to have photoshoot which will not have a second one for the Mbrosia 2010 brochure. :C Anyways, FYI, my little plan for the war succeeded in a way. Failed History tho. I feel tired. Okays, I shall go and bath. And rest liek Gaius told me to.

Today lotsa things happened. But in the end, I had a happy ending. :D I wanna go back to the old days where people will say "MAVIS! You rock!" And I would reply the same. I have long forgotten about it until one day someone said that. That made me remember that I was once rocked. I wanna rock again. Idwanna lose out. Its just my stupid choice of the emo-days. I shouldn't have chosen it. What's done is done anyway. I just have to face the consequences.

Life's liek this: You make choices, you face the consequences and you make more choices again. One wrong step can affect the outcome. So make the right choice and you wouldn't regret.

Today, band outing. o.o Quite fun bah hahhs. o.o Cycle all the way. But didn't reach CHANGI airport cos sure no time. So.. halfway we gone back. I waited for him. But he went pass me. So I stayed behind. Li hwan caught up with me...denden..ask me faster. I was liek fine =,= Den she ask me race with her. I said okai. We race halfway, I told her that I go back. Cos there was some who is far behind.

So I was alone. I was ALONE.

I couldn't find sidney. So .. I turned and headed back. On my way, I saw some people, talked to them and moved on ALONE. Aloneeeeee. Haiz. Denden, went to emo at a random rock after I returned my bike. Den WenXiang came find me and he demanded whai I leave him. Which I didn't do it on purpose. I needed some time alone .. haix o.o

Crap, 6 moar days to MIDYEAR.
